Aditya Thakare's Joyful Film Debut
Mumbai, Aug 9: Actor Aditya Thakare, who recently made his cinematic debut in 'Dhadak 2', expressed his excitement about landing the role, describing it as a joyful blessing. He revealed that he received the film offer while celebrating Ganpati Visarjan with friends.
In a recent conversation, he shared that prior to 'Dhadak 2', his professional life felt quite stagnant.
He recounted, 'The opportunity for 'Dhadak 2' felt like a hidden blessing. At that moment, my career was at a standstill. One day, I received an audition call and hurried to respond. I vividly remember the day I learned I was cast; it was during Ganesh Chaturthi 2023 while I was at Ganpati Visarjan with friends. It truly felt like a blessing from Bappa.'
When discussing his preparation for the role, Thakare mentioned, 'After being selected, I had limited time for extensive dialect training, so I concentrated on mastering the local language. I spent time with locals to learn not just the language but also the regional body language, which is crucial for portraying a character authentically. I frequented places like Rajju Tea Stall in Bhopal, engaging with strangers to absorb their mannerisms and expressions, making my character feel relatable and real.'
He also reflected on his collaboration with co-stars Tripti Dimri and Siddhant Chaturvedi, stating, 'Initially, I was in awe of them, maintaining a respectful distance. I have admired Siddhant since 'Gully Boy' and Triptii since 'Qala'. However, the Bhopal shoot changed everything. We spent nearly two months there, and I thrive on relaxed evening gatherings filled with laughter. Triptii and Siddhant joined in, and we often stayed up late despite early morning shoots. This camaraderie translated into genuine chemistry on screen, and I feel fortunate to call such talented individuals my friends.'
When asked if we are witnessing a rise in raw talent across various art forms, he affirmed, 'Absolutely, 100%. Raw talent is not only being recognized but celebrated. With numerous platforms available, everyone has a chance to be seen and appreciated. The demand for content has surged, allowing fresh voices to emerge.'
He added, 'For someone like me, this is an ideal time to begin my journey. Audiences are increasingly seeking authentic, relatable stories rather than exaggerated narratives, prompting filmmakers to explore these themes.'
